We are now finalising a series of feasibility studies, paid for by a grant we received last year from energyshare. A great deal of work has gone into this, not only by the SHARE team, but also Community Energy Plus (CEP) and Paul Martin of Kabin. Within the next few weeks we will be able to present these results at a full Membership meeting.

Now is the time to start thinking about what you may like to grow or make for this year’s 56th South Hill Horticultural Show.
This has been a very good year for South Hill Parish Hall. It has seen a continued stability in regular bookings, with children’s parties the front runner. The hire charge of £12 per session is a fundamental strategy to our success, in growing new and repeat business.
On March 21st the Community Day displayed results of the Parish Plan Survey – an excellent event with well over a hundred people attending to add even more opinions to the original comments.
Your Neighbourhood Plan committee are still working hard to pull this information together and present it as planning policies.

Rehearsals are going spectacularly well in preparation for forthcoming concert in October, contributions in the Fun Day etc . The theme is Songs from Stage and Screen and songs on the list include some Gilbert and Sullivan, Les Miserables, Oklahoma, Phantom, Cats, Sound Of Music, Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and West Side Story to name a few. It’s not too late to join for the term!

On March 10th the 1st meeting was held for the Horticultural Show Fun Day on Aug 15th
Nick Easton Chaired, Ali Humphreys took notes, there were 16 present & 6 apologies – a Great start.
8 years ago a successful day was run alongside the ‘SHOW’. The Hall committee want to support The Horticulture Show events and bring together new people and ideas and through sponsorships and fees be able to donate to a couple charities and have a FUN FILLED DAY.
