There have been some changes to the committee structures and I am now a member of the Housing and Environment Advisory Committee. Please note the word ‘advisory’ but these committees do give backbenchers like me a chance to have more regular discussions with the relevant cabinet member. If you have strong views on anything to do with housing and the environment, do let me know.

I moved to Golberdon with my daughter and Grandson 6 months ago. I work part time for Cornwall NHS as a Podiatrist and help look after my Grandson whilst my daughter goes to Plymouth University to study for her Nursing degree.

Fun Day planned for August 2015
On March 10th the 1st meeting was held for the Horticultural Show Fun Day on Aug 15th
Nick Easton Chaired, Ali Humphreys took notes, there were 16 present & 6 apologies – a Great start.
8 years ago a successful day was run alongside the ‘SHOW’. The Hall committee want to support The Horticulture Show events and bring together new people and ideas and through sponsorships and fees be able to donate to a couple charities and have a FUN FILLED DAY.

I’m not sure if you would be interested in including something about this in the newsletter? It was apparent in the results of the parish survey that people were NOT enthusiastic about green field sites being used for housing.
A new petition has been started by 38 Degrees (the well-known online campaigning organisation) to ‘Save Cornwall’s Green Fields,’ will you help us by signing?
