SHARE takes first steps towards a sustainable future

banner mornickSouth Hill Association for Renewable Energy (SHARE) has taken its first big step towards obtaining funding to start our renewables programme.

We’ve registered with energyshare Cornwall to secure funding to assist us with choosing technologies and projects, and ensuring that this public purse is spent wisely. There’s a video that explains why we need the budget and what we want to do, which you can see here…

But that’s just the start of the journey. To access this funding, we need your support. It’s vital that everyone in South Hill shows their support by voting for us and raising the profile of the Parish. We are up against other bidders from bigger towns with much larger populations. So to ensure we don’t get left out, please watch and push that support button.  You will be asked to create a Crowdfunder account (username, password and email address) or login with your Facebook account.  This is to make sure that people don’t vote twice!

Naturally, we want to be sure that the best interests of all our community are being served. So come along to the SHARE meetings, use your voice and give us your opinions. Please get involved as there’s a lot to be done.  To receive email updates and reminder about meetings, please email share@south-hill.co.uk with your details.

Many of you have great talents and skills that we’d like to borrow, so don’t be shy: come along, have your say and let’s move South Hill towards a more sustainable, affordable energy future.

We will be around at the Community Day on Saturday September 20th, 2pm at the Parish Hall in Golberdon, if you want to ask us any questions.
