“Seasons and Celebrations” Patchwork and Quilting Exhibition
Raffle prize
From May 8th – 10th 2014, South Hill Piece Makers introduced another Patchwork and Quilting Exhibition – called ‘Season and Celebrations’ – with a charity raffle in aid of Help For Heroes.
I once heard it said that people who do patchwork, ‘take a perfectly good piece of fabric, cut it up into little pieces and then sew it all together again’ ……

55th South Hill Horticultural Show
You really know that Summer is coming to South Hill when you find that the Schedule for the Flower Show has been finalised!
In this 55th year of the Show, you can enter your fruit, veg, crafts and cookery in 116 exciting classes. With 17 classes for children and young people, there’s something for everyone, so start your planning now.
The show will take place on Saturday August 16th 2014 at the Parish Hall in Golberdon, opening at 2pm. Prizes will be presented by Sheryll Murray MP, at 4.30pm.

Parish Hall Chairman’s Report, Jan 2014
Happy New Year to all from the village hall committee.
The children’s Christmas party was a great success with a visit from Father Christmas and his helper, to receive the children in his grotto – which was another masterpiece from Gary Middleton-Batts, who is now already planning for this years party!! I would like to thank all the parents and helpers who helped to make the event so enjoyable, and to our secret benefactor who covered the costs for the event. A big thank you to all who helped out.
For this year we are planning to spend funds on an all weather canopy roof to the outside of the hall adjacent to the field. And projects such as solar panels to help reduce the costs of electricity for our customers.
A couple of early dates for your diaries: Parish Hall A.G.M Monday 19th May, Harvest Supper Saturday 27th September, and children’s Christmas party Saturday 13th December – due to the demand of hiring’s for the hall we have had to book early !!
Our next regular meeting will take place on Monday 10th March, open invitation to all in the Parish.
