Open Gardens for Charity

Open Garden afternoon at Anvil Cottage and The Windmills South Hill

Garden

Geoff and Barbara Clemerson and Pete and Sue Tunnicliffe opened their gardens to the public on 8 August 2015 in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society. We were very lucky that the weather was fine and a grand total of around 50 people visited. With entry fees, refreshments and plant sales as well as a generous contribution from the Rotary Club a final total of over £700.00 was raised which was donated to the Alzheimer’s Society. We would like to thank very much all those who visited the gardens and all those friends who helped us as volunteers to make the afternoon such a great success.

Next year both gardens have been approved for entry in to the National Gardens Scheme and will be open on the 25th/26th June 2016
