Calstock Footpath Society

The Calstock Footpath Society was formed 30 years ago from a group of local residents and supporters who care for the footpaths and Public Rights of Way around the area. They are an active and lively group and invite you to join them.

Saturday Feb 15th: A New View of Morwellham

Meet at 10:30am. About four miles on tracks and footpaths. Route passes Morwell Barton, Pleasure Rock and Morwell Rock, then takes the new Tamar Trail past the top of the incline railway, the canal portal and the reservoir for the Morwell Power Station before descending to New Quay. Then back along the public footpath to Morwellham to eat our packed lunch in the shelter of the Chapel. Continue up the public footpath to Morwell Rock and back to the cars.

Sunday March 16th: Menheniot Circular Walk

Meet at 11:00 at the Spar shop in Menheniot opposite the church. This walk is under five miles. Starting and finishing in Menheniot, using local lanes, tracks and field footpaths. There are some steady climbs, stiles, and probably some long grass and mud.

 

For both walks bring packed lunch and wear suitable clothing and footwear. Sorry unsuitable for dogs. Non-members £2 donation.
