South Hill Connection AGM

The Annual General Meeting of this newsletter took place on Monday 13th October 2014.

The following officers were unanimously re-elected:  Chair – David Skelton; Treasurer – David Skelton; Editor in Chief – Sue Skelton; Secretary – Kate Thomas.  Geoff Clemerson  and Chris Waring continue in their roles on the committee.  Ali Humphreys and Sue Palmer were unanimously welcomed as new members of the committee.

A warm vote of thanks was sent to Pat Moren, who continues to assist Sue in publication of each edition, despite having left the parish!

The South-Hill Connection team would welcome any news items and articles written by members of the public at any time. We are also happy to advertise items for sale or disseminate any notices.   We do have deadlines for publication about a week before publication date.  If you want to know when these are, or if you have an article you would like to see included, please contact Sue Skelton at editor@south-hill.co.uk or any member of the committee.

Now we have a brand new interactive website we are encouraging partner organizations in the parish to write and download their own items onto the website.  We are rolling out a training programme to assist, which is kindly provided by Sue Skelton.  Please let us know if you would like to book a date.

I shall be resigning this year – so we are keen to find a new secretary to join the committee.  I take minutes at 6 committee meetings and occasionally write an article etc.

Sue is happy to continue as webmaster but is on the lookout for someone to replace her as editor of the newsletter, so if you have some web knowledge and fancy yourself on the cutting room floor, please step forward!
