Parish Councillor vacancy

SOUTH HILL PARISH COUNCIL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT
A VACANCY HAS ARISEN FOR A PARISH COUNCILLOR.

As an election has not been requested by 10 electors, in accordance with Rule 5 (5) of The Local Elections (Parishes and Communities) (England and Wales) Rules 2006, the vacancy will be filled by co-option by the South Hill Parish Council .

WE ARE ASKING INTERESTED PEOPLE TO APPLY

If you would like to join become a member of the Parish Council, you need to:

1) be at least 18 years old.

2) be a British citizen, an eligible Commonwealth citizen or a citizen of any other member
state of the European Union.

3) meet at least one of the following four qualifications:

a) You are, and will continue to be, registered as a local government elector for the parish.
b) You have been an owner or tenant of any land or other premises in the parish for 12 months before applying to become a councillor.
c). Your place of work during the last 12 months has been in the parish.
d). You have lived in the parish or within three miles of it for the last 12 months.

If you are interested,please apply to the Parish Clerk by the13th April 2015.
