The full walk of 7 miles, and strenuous, is No 9 in Calstock Footpaths Society’s series of walk guides, taking in Okel Tor, Harewood, Calstock church, Church Hill, Higher Kelly, Danescombe Farm, Cotehele House and Mill. Returning to Calstock via Cotehele Quay and Lower Kelly. For those not wishing to do the whole walk, there are several opportunities for a shorter option.
Walking shoes or boots recommended. Please bring coffee, a packed lunch and something to sit on. Sorry unsuitable for dogs. Non members will be asked for a donation of £2.

Saltash to Forder and back Sunday 15th November Leader: Netti Hibbert
Start 1100 Distance about 6.6 miles. Meet in FREE car park on Brunel Green (about 75 yard up river from the two bridges).

Directions from the Carkeel Roundabout. Take the Plymouth road towards the tunnel but TURN LEFT Just before the entrance signposted Saltash. At the traffic lights turn left but not the small immediate left. Go down the road with the bumps to the waterfront and the free car park is just before the bridges on the left. OR: Coming over the bridge turn left into Saltash and left at the bottom of the Main Street. At the waterfront turn left then under the bridges and the car park will be on your right. Toilets under the bridge at start and finish and a community one in the Cecil Arms pub which we pass after lunch
The walk includes various landscapes from riversides woodlands and creeks to nature reserve and town with lovely views along the way. There are two short steepish hills and gradual one. The first one can be avoided cutting out just over half a mile. (phone Netti for details). If you wish a shorter walk there are buses from near St Stephens Church (every half hour) cutting off at least 2 miles. Details from Netti on walk.
As its November bits could be muddy so boots are best.
Bring something to sit on and coffee and lunch
