Callington Community Day was held in the Town Hall on Saturday 22nd March. Organised by Callington Town Council and the Mayor and Portreeve, Councillor Winfindale, the event was designed to showcase the local clubs and organisations around the Town.
Over 40 clubs and organisations attended, with lots of information on what they do and how you can join. Just a few of those present are pictured below:
Callington U3A (the University of the Third Age) is open to over 50s not in full-time employment. A democratic, self funded, self-managed organisation, U3A members organise interest groups such as Art, Bridge, Food & Drink, Hand Bells, Italian, Singing, Scrabble, Walking and many more.

Mustard Seed Independent Evangelical Church – As well as their regular Sunday service (10.45am), the Mustard Seed host Underground Youth, a café and meeting place, every Thursday from 7 – 8.30pm. See

Coming up on Saturday April 5th, free cooked breakfasts are being served in the church hall between 8.30 and 10.30am – Everyone welcome!
And on April 6th, parents and children will be welcome at “Seedlings on Sunday”, for crafts and games, bible stories, cake and coffee, juice and snacks.
Callington Community Gospel Choir is a friendly amateur mixed choir performing a varied repertoire of Gospel music from all eras and genres. They enjoy performing concerts and events in the community, both in Callington and much further afield in Europe. See www.ccgc.org.uk

Callington Sport & Leisure is located in the Sport facilities at Callington Community College. Open to the public evenings, weekends and school holidays, CSL boasts a recently refurbished Fitness Suite, sports hall, gymnasium, tennis courts, astro-turf football pitch and more. Many sport and fitness clubs are hosted at CSL, including Zumba, Karate and Archery.
