Thanks to money from the Arts Council England the booklet ‘A History of Cornwall in 100 Objects’, which was produced two years ago, is now on the Museums in Cornwall website.
This rather special china is featured in the section called “Customs”, where you can read about the history of Christianity and Methodism in particular.
Visit the Customs page and click on the picture of this cup and saucer to read about the traditional “chapel teas”.
Golberdon Chapel china is on display at Callington Heritage Centre, which will be open from April 11th this year with exhibitions of Callington Road Railway Station, the Great War, and a collection of mineral and crystal samples.
