The Linkinhorne History Group  events for the following few months are as follows :

*Sunday 11th October : Linkinhorne Parish Community Orchard event Upton Cross Parish Hall  10-4.

*Tuesday October 20th– 7-30 p.m Lower room, The Manor House, Rilla Mill .Talk by Carol Vivien “ Living with smells”.

* Wednesday 11th November. 7-30 p.m Lower room, The Manor House, Rilla Mill .

“East Cornwall Mining versus the Taj Mahal”.   Guest speaker Historian Andrew Thompson will talk about the significance of the site(s) as World Heritage designation.

The following is information from The Stoke Climsland Local History Group.

Their meetings are held at The Old School at 7-30p.m. Visitors are most welcome to attend upon a small entrance fee to include refreshments.

September 22nd– Talk by Chris Batters on the  story behind the “ Murder at Rough Tor: The life and death of Charlotte Dymond.”

October 27th: Local mining expert Rick Stewart will talk about the exploits of miners in World War I. “First World War Military Mining.”

November 24th: Talk by Paul Reid “ Cornwall and the Civil War”
